Is Facebook Really Bringing Friends Together?

Posted on August 5th, 2011 by AZCategory: Funny Images, facebook, Tags: facebook, facebook bringing friends together, facebook friendship, facebook in real, friends on facebook, real life vs social networking sites

Facebook with other similar kind of sites like myspace, twitter called themselves Social Networking Sites and now they are so big they can be consider as Social Media sites as well. However, the big question is “Is Facebook Really Bringing Friends Together?”

facebook bringing friends together

So many people who are addicted to facebook would answer in “yes” but many of us know that it is not true at all. In fact, In reality it is totally different. You are wasting too much time on some very un-important activities on facebook like sharing photos, poking each other and updating your status. In reality you can have more fun compare to your useless time on facebook like going out with friends and sharing your pictures in personal, Have fun time with your friends and for those who stays away, believe me, they will love you more when you call them via phone or skype(video call) instead of writing on their wall.

So, My answer would be, NO, Facebook is really taking away your friends from you instead of bringing them to you. So, Start living an actually fun loving life instead of wasting time on facebook.

Posted on September 22nd, 2011 by AZCategory: News, facebook, Tags: disabled facebook, facebook ban, facebook banned in pakistan, high court ordered to ban facebook in pakistan

Facebook has finally met its fate in a judgment passed by Lahore high court. Justice Azmat Saeed ordered the Ministry of Telecom and Information Technology to block the social networking website, Facebook for maintaining content of religious discrimination. According to news published in Pakistan today, there was a petition demanding the ban on Facebook for holding notorious competition based on blasphemous caricatures on May 20, 2011. The court has ordered the government to disabled Facebook or ban Facebook and deliver a compliance report by October 6, 2011.
Facebook Banned in Pakistan

This is being rightfully done to a social networking site that supports religious discrimination. A Similar event took place an year back with consequences that followed to temporarily restrict access to Facebook in Pakistan. Either the mistake is somehow repeated or intentionally done because Facebook Platform Policies clearly state:

You will not post content that: is hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.

Even if the Facebook administrators failed to see it the first time, how come they not notice it when the competition was intentionally held again after a period of one year? The administrators have the complete control to remove any controversial material being posted on their website to ensure quality as stated in Facebook terms:

You will not use Facebook to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory. We respect other people’s rights, and expect you to do the same. You will not post content or take any action on Facebook that infringes or violates someone else’s rights or otherwise violates the law.We can remove any content or information you post on Facebook if we believe that it violates this Statement.

What sort of right do Facebook respect if it supports humiliation of a certain religion despite having complete authority to remove content based on controversy? This also provokes another question in reader’s mind, why is a social networking website being used as a tool to promote religious violence?

6 Advantages of Not Using Facebook

Posted on March 1st, 2011 by AZCategory: facebook, Tags: 6 advantages of not using facebook, advantages of no facebook, advantages of not using facebook, facebook, no facebook, not using facebook, say no to facebook

Some people will argue that Facebook is the most popular social network site and it helps you keep in touch with friends and family. Then why you guys don’t like facebook. So i thought to give you some advantages of not using facebook that will prove that without facebook you will be more safe, happy and more social person than using facebook and other social networking sites.

advantages of not using facebook

Here are some advantages of not using Facebook:

1 – Don’t Have To Worry About Privacy
The first benefit is that you won’t have to worry about privacy concerns. Many people aren’t aware of some of the strange terms of service changes that Facebook has made in the last year or so. Some of these have been changed back because users didn’t like them, but your photos and personal information could potentially be compromised using this system.

2 – Facebook is a Waste of Time
Many get sucked into Facebook and it ends up being a waste of time. Without having an account, you don’t have to worry about this becoming a problem at all and literally can save hell of time to spend with your family and friends.

3 – Control Over Types of Conversation
Without Facebook you can have control over the types of conversations that you want to have with people. Some people just don’t like talking through a computer. You might not be able to type well or might enjoy the phone or talking in person much better.

4 – Avoid Higher Risk of Effecting Your Computer From Malware and Scams
Some people click links in Facebook that lead to malware problems or scams. Without using an account, you won’t have to worry about getting these types of problems through that site. Well you can get malwares and trojans by visiting some sites and through emails but the risk is much higher when you use facebook and other social networking sites.

5 – Reliable Communication
Communication on Facebook is not as reliable as you would like. Some people are on it every day meaning you will reach them but some don’t sign on too often. Using your phone to call or text is a bit more reliable.

6 – Can Keep Things to Yourself
Without having a Facebook account, you can keep more things to yourself. You might not want others to know everything about your life all the time.
